Our SEND Commitment at Learn2print

At Learn2print, we are dedicated to ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to succeed, thrive, and feel fully supported throughout their apprenticeship journey. We recognise that each learner is unique, and we are committed to promoting an inclusive environment where individual needs are identified, respected, and celebrated.

Comprehensive Initial Assessment

From the very beginning, we carry out a detailed initial assessment to understand each learner’s specific needs, strengths, and requirements. This personalised approach allows us to put the right support mechanisms in place early on, ensuring learners have everything they need to engage confidently with their apprenticeship studies.

Tailored Support Throughout Your Apprenticeship

Based on the outcomes of the initial assessment, we provide tailored support that may include:

  • Adjustments to teaching and assessment methods
  • Accessible learning materials
  • One-to-one guidance
  • Reasonable adjustments and ongoing monitoring

Our goal is to remove barriers to learning and ensure every apprentice can progress and achieve to the best of their ability.

Dedicated SEND Coordinator

We are proud to have a dedicated SEND Coordinator, Jenny Meyrick, who oversees all aspects of SEND support across Learn2print. Jenny is your point of contact for any queries, concerns, or discussions regarding additional support needs.

Whether you are a learner, parent, employer, or partner, Jenny is here to help ensure the right support is in place at every stage.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

Learn2print is committed to promoting, maintaining, and celebrating inclusivity in everything we do. We believe that diversity enriches our learning community, and we strive to create a supportive, understanding, and accessible environment for all.

What is SEND?

SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

In the UK education system, the term SEND is used to describe children or young people who have:

1. Special Educational Needs (SEN)

They require additional or different educational support from the majority of other children of the same age.
This might relate to areas such as:

  • learning difficulties
  • communication and interaction needs
  • social, emotional, or mental health challenges
  • sensory or physical needs
2. Disabilities

A condition or impairment that has a substantial and long-term effect on daily life.
This can include:

  • physical disabilities
  • hearing or visual impairments
  • long-term medical conditions
  • neurodiversity (e.g., autism, ADHD)
